How to Recycle:
Preparing your recyclables for curbside pickup

Important Tip: Help prevent identity theft and protect your credit!

Shred credit card offers and cell phone offers that include your name and address.
Shred any paper that contains financial information (bill stubs, credit card receipts, etc.) about you.

St. Jude's Ranch for Children accepts greeting cards for recycling.

Sorting Your Recycling

Newspapers, magazines, mixed mail, office paper, cereal and cracker boxes	Place together in paper bag or recycling container. Keep separate from cans, glass, plastic. Do not combine with corrugated cardboard. For 2005, you MAY include the cardboard containers for beverage cans.
Cans and glass (food and beverage), plastics (only bottles with a neck)	Rinse out and place in paper bags or recycling container. Keep separate from paper items. Please flatten plastic bottles and remove caps and lids
Corrugated Cardboard	Flatten, place in paper bag or bundle with twine. Do not exceed 3 ft. x 3 ft. Do not combine with other paper.
Clean clothing and household linens	Place in plastic bag and seal or tie. Put out next to recycling container.

What Should I Put Materials in for Pickup?

A blue recycling bin. If you are new to Falcon Heights and have not received a bin, please pick one up at City Hall. Additional bins are $15.00 each
Paper grocery bags. No plastic bags, please, except for clean clothing and household linens.
