Safe Gun Storage Saves Lives
A few minutes of prevention
saves a lifetime of regret!
Free Gun Locks
While supplies last, Falcon Heights residents can pick up a FREE GUN LOCK at City Hall, 2077 W. Larpenteur, during regular business hours.
Each kit contains a safety curriculum and a cable-style gun lock. There is a limit of 2 per household.
The Police Department will also provide a kit with every gun permit they issue, as long as supplies last.
These kits were made available through a partnership of the St. Anthony Police and Project ChildSafe. The Program is funded by a U.S. Department of Justice grant and additional funding by the firearms industry.
Important Tips for Gun Owners

Lock ammunition in a separate location.
Use a trigger lock or cable lock, or place the gun in a safe or lock box.
Even if you don't own a gun . . .
Talk with your children about the risk of gun injury outside the home in places where they may visit and play
Speak with the parents of your children's friends to find out if they keep a gun at home.
If they do, urge them to empty it out and lock it up.
