Parking in Falcon HeightsPermit Parking
About Residential Parking PermitsSeveral neighborhoods in Falcon Heights have permit parking zones. In a permit parking zone, public parking is limited to 2 hours, unless a permit is displayed in the car. These neighborhoods are places where there is such a high demand for street parking that residents are often unable to find places to park their own cars. Falcon Heights permit parking zones are near the University of Minnesota campus. Permits are available to residents whose street frontage is in the permit parking zone. Those residents can buy annual permits for their own cars. They can also apply for temporary permits for visitors. Temporary permits are also available for construction vehicles and construction dumpsters anywhere in the City. All residential permits expire at the end of the calendar year, regardless of when they were applied for. All residents who qualify for a permit must reapply in January.
